Shields protect the entire risk area against droplets (eyes, nose and mouth) and assists the user in avoiding touching those risk areas. The shields also prevent the dispersion of droplets into the air when coughing or sneezing. Face shields are a cost effective approach to personal protective equipment as they may be used multiple times, whereas disposable masks last for a couple of hours. All that's required is to sanitize the shield with a sterilizing product.
